At an early age, Deirdre Fitzpatrick, began to show

artist promise and in later years she has worked to

develop this talent. She has been inspired by the

beauty, culture and art seen in her travels throughout

the world, particularly, Australia, South Africa and

Thailand.

The strength of her art lies in her Irish roots which

reveals the strong influences of her childhood on the

west coast of Ireland. The beauty of the sea and her

surroundings is demonstrated in her work. Deirdre's

art is both abstract and graphic. She uses acrylics,

oil and charcoal to express her imagination and

energy, interpreted through powerful colours and strong

images of wildlife, human and sea creatures.
